Execution
Design Process
For this project, I wanted to create an interactive training that would support facilitators with varying levels of English proficiency in learning how to use an app developed by my department. Because we want facilitators at all MIH locations to use App CATalog regularly, the training needed to be easily digestible and broken into small, manageable chunks. I recorded a custom video to ensure the experience felt interactive and flowed naturally within the EdPuzzle platform, rather than appearing like a standard video that is simply paused for questions. Throughout the video, facilitators are prompted with open-ended questions to encourage deeper engagement, rather than relying solely on true/false or multiple-choice items.
Reflection
This was my first time using EdPuzzle, and I really enjoyed it. While I wish it offered a bit more flexibility in certain question formats, my facilitators appreciated the interactivity compared to simply watching a video on YouTube. I’m looking forward to using EdPuzzle more in future remote trainings for my facilitators.
